Anytime there's a trade that goes through your head that involves you getting a player in a trade, where the other team is retaining $5+ mil for 3 more years, especially with a guy that's coming off of an 84 point season, it's probably worth taking another minute to think about it

To be fair, you could probably do it without the pick. Lots of back and fourth on Patches value here today, but that would be a decent deal for Edmonton to make (if you don't look at the salary cap).
