On what planet can Tampa afford to absorb $16 million on Andrei Vasilevskiy for the next 8 years? get real Tampa is hard up against the cap. besides noway Tampa makes this trade.

Helly is cheaper then Vasy, but he sure isn't better Vasy just coming off a cup win.

Cup win with a lot better defense. Helly is better goaltending wise.

I don't agree. I can't see Vasy carrying the Jets like Helly did.

I'm not a Helly fan, I know he won the Vezina but I don't think he'll be carrying the Jets to a cup, he just lacks that big save when you really need it ability and you need that to win a cup.

Vasilevskiy is a superior goalie imo.

Too bad the numbers say otherwise, Both in Save% GAA and Wins in the past 3 seasons Andrei Vasilevskiy has been much better.

I know you're not a Helly fan. That's why I was bugging you about not liking many Jets! I actually like both Helly and Vesy. If the Jets didn't Helly, Vesy is the guy I would want in a prefect world.

I like most of the Jets, just not Helly or Lowry.

In my opinion, I watched the Jets last year, and Connor Hellebuyck last year was better than Vasilevskiy. I know Vasilevskiy won a cup, but Tampa has way better defence. If Hellebuyck was on Tampa, heck, maybe he would of had a (this is far fetched but) 0.940 SV% and a 1.70 GAA. He was just that good for the Jets. There defence was really not good. Tampa has stars on defence. The Jets don't.

Wins and GAA are team stats. Save percentage they are within .001% average over the last three years, so the numbers say they are basically the same.
