Too much for Wilson. Really depending on Frost to be a good NHLer to give up Nylander. For years so many CapFriendly posts have Leafs acquiring RHD, and there you go trading two with years of control and not getting one in return.

Quality > Quantity ..... there is only 1 Tom Wilson there's 100000's of players like the ones you are sending Washington .... Dime a dozen players

"too much" is subjective. what player coming back replaces Wilson in the current caps "win now" window?

Liljegren? not really
Mikheyev? solid but not better than Vrana or Ovechkin
Kerfoot? how much better is he than Eller plus we have Mcmichael who needs a roster spot next year... Protas and Lapierre
late 1st.... wont be NHL ready for maybe 2-4 years?

Wilson and Kuzy were the 2biggest catalyst in the capitals winning the cup. imo. hard to get on board with dumping him for anything short of nylander

I have to agree with you here. I don't think this is a bad package for Wilson. From Toronto's point of view sure, but not for the caps.

I have to agree as well...even though I am a Leafs fan.

Kerfoot and Mikheyev are 3rd line borderline 2nd line forwards, Liljegren is a 3rd pair borderline 2nd pair dman and the 1st pick is top 8 protected...which might not matter as the Leafs are looking for their 1st round pick to be 32 OA.

I see Wilson as a 2nd line forward that has been pushed into 1st line duties sometimes who can score 20 goals, plays hard every shift and will fight anyone. It is a lot for the Leafs to give up but I am not sure if it balances out what Washington is giving up. Maybe but I'm just not sure if it is worth the price for either team.

BTW I would love for the Leafs to have Wilson in the top 6

I'm bias but I try my hardest not to be. As far as point totals go last 2 years Wilson was on a 52 point pace.... that's solid pretty good and that's not factoring in all the Intangibles he brings to the locker room and on the ice. imo there's only 1 Tom Wilson. hate him or love him he's one of the most rare players in the NHL (imo my bias opinion) He's the type of player you trade and immediately regret trading... like BLues and Oshie
