The Bergeron marchand duo has to be on there.

Not sure how you don't have Bergeron or Kopitar on here. They've only won the Selke a combined 6 out of the last 10 times.

He doesn't watch hockey and literally doesn't know anything about it. He's only on here to get a rise out of people because he has no life. I honestly enjoy his lists, they give me a good laugh. I can think of 20 players better defensively than a lot of these guys.

Bergeron was close, but this is only based off of this year, where he wasnt exceptional. Still a great player
Horvat gets thrown to the wolves and plays in a shutdown role, but isnt very effective
Pesce was bad defensively this year, has been elite in previous years
Jensen could definitely be here, hes amazing defensively
Brandon Tanev is here. Chris is not. Hes in the same boat as Pesce

This is only based on the 19-20 season. Both guys were defensive monsters in their primes, but are no longer Selke level players

Hes been good in previous years. But wasnt elite this year

while i dont agree with some of the list, i am greatly amused at some of the replies. As is with most AGM's, lots of people here think a guy who was amazing 3 years ago is still super amazing.

Oh sheesh. Didn’t even see who made it. Ya, this guy is a grade A clown. Having Travis Dermott ranked ahead of Seth jones on another list. I guess i forgot to place him on ignore, or people on ignore still have their threads show up.

Fair enough. Even based off of last season, I'd still rather have either Bergeron or Kopitar than plenty of the centers listed. But that's me.

This is proof in the pudding for not relying mainly on charts, or you look like FLA

Florida never used any charts. If they did, they wouldve known that giving anything more than 7 million to a goalie is a terrible idea. The Stralman and Matheson contracts also couldve been completely avoided
Giving up Smith and Marchessault were also horrible decisions if you used the charts

That's because he was injured half way through the season
