You can get better players than that, for the money though. IMO. You can get A.Panarin for Matthews. You can get Eichel for Tavares, and get P.Kane for Marner. And you can get S.Theodore for Muzzin. And Werensky for Rielly. And Ben Bishop for F.Andersen.

You were doing really well selling low on Matthews and Marner, but the notion that you could get Shea Theodore for Jake Muzzin, or Werenski for Rielly is hilarious

The team isn’t horrible but it is slightly less better after each trade.

At least it isn’t a “realistic leafs agm” where they destroy the team or rob other teams and destroy leaf fan credibility.

Just going off last year's totals the Leafs lose 7 goals and 20 points on the forward group but gain 8 goals and 27 points on the Dmen and the goalies are equal, gain a better gaa but lose on sv % but at least get a goalie that wins playoff rounds, which is the most important stat.

That’s a lot of leg work for nothing... leafs lose every trade but the ehlers deal. The Eichel trade is close but I’ll take Matthews. You’ll see why when hockey starts up again.

Maybe the Leafs should try getting a playoff goalie and a stud d-core to see if the results would be better than loading up on 4 floaters up front.

It’s a young team group of forward stars and Dubas has put together a good unit of 9 Dmen. Dubas gets rid of carrick, Gardiner, polak, Hainsey zaitsev and replaces them with muzzin, Brodie, Bogo, Sandin and liljegren and all we still hear is the same broken song from bag heads.

Buffalo passes. Eichel is better than Matthews. I know this is difficult for fans in toronto to understand.

Actually you are way off when it comes to the concept of defensive, it takes all 5 skaters on the ice to defend, not a strong 6 Dcore, that's why I mention the Leafs have too many forwards that are just floaters.
