Idk about simmonds being pencilled in to the top 6, but I think it's a likelihood keefe throws him out with the core 4 at times to get some energy going

I'm not sold on Simmonds being an everyday top six forward anymore but, I'm sure we will see him up there with those fellas from time to time.

Agree with the guys above. I'd sure be happy to see the Hyman-Matthews-Nylander line used again.

Kerfoot - Thornton - Mikheyev seem like a terrible line idea. 2 pass first players in Kerfoot and Thornton with Mikheyev who is all too happy to shoot from anywhere he gets the puck except his shot sucks. That line would be a disaster.

I would like to see it:
Vesey/JT/Marner
Kerfoot/Thorton/Soup
Engvall/Spezza/Simmons -Simmons will get minutes on the 2nd PP down low.

Or Kerfoot on the 2nd line LW. And the 3rd line be:
Soup/Thorton/Simmons
Vesey/Speeza/J.Anderson or Vesey/Engvall/Spezza.

I’m not a huge believer in Barabanov. Atleast not yet. Until there is word from training camp and pre-season games. It’s not an easy transition to the smaller ice and the bigger players and the way more physical NHL. The KHL plays whole games without a penalty.

I like this, I don't love the idea of just putting your worst 3 players on your bottom line, gotta get creative to balance things out. I think guys like Simmonds and jumbo will benefit more being put with better players.

20 man roster I guess with Engvall. Whichever Defender is sitting in the press box that night or waiver except( they don’t report though, it’s just on paper). Dermott is probably still waiver exempt. Bogs will not be, and Lehtonen is not. Sandin and Liljegren probably both still are too.

Ya, it’s only gonna be a 21-22 man roster anyways. With the 7 D-Men, the top 2 pairings. And then Dermott, Lehnronen, and Bogs for the bottom pairing and the 7th D sitting in the press box. And it could be 22 if u have Boyd up and his 700K contract. But yes, anyone else up would leave u just at 20-21 man roster. Just the 4 forward lines, 3 D pairings and 2 goalies for a 20 man roster. A 21 man carries an extra D usually.
