While I totally see where you’re coming from, Nils said in an interview a few months ago that they had planned for him to sign this off-season, but they decided it was more beneficial for him to stay and play as opposed to waiting for more clarity with the pandemic

As a Rangers fan, would you be open to a trade with MTL that sends an extended Danault to the Rangers and an RD prospect (Lundkvist or Schneider likely) + perhaps a pick to the Habs?

It's just been an idea knocking around in my head for a few days. Seems to fit needs for both teams; Rangers could use a bonafide 2C which Danault is and he also happens to be fantastic defensively which would be good support for some younger wingers. MTL's prospect pool on RD is pretty scarce, so if they were to trade Danault (which I keep seeing get thrown around), that might be a good area to address.

Nils would be too much for Danault imo... as a MTL fan i would want Schneider or Kravstov coming back

Danault is a good option but I'd be remissed to assume he's worth Schneider or Lundkvist. I'd only give up Gauthier + 1st.

Yeah, I personally view Lundkvist in a higher class than Schneider, but considering the Rangers just traded up to draft Schneider, I thought it seemed unlikely that they trade him so I wanted to mention another option.
