Which is not the right thing to do. We're getting robbed on that Red Wings trade because you have to get rid of McDonagh's contracts thus giving up 3 valuable assets.

Risky. But we are also adding potentially two 30 goal scorers in the top 6. And creating a monster 3rd line.

Tampa takes that and runs, Don Sweeney would be crazy to do that Tampa deal just way too much cap to take on. And i seriously doubt that Ryan McDonagh would agree to waive his full NTC for Boston only to be dealt to Detroit just don't see him agreeing to waive for a rebuilding club.

Its just not that great of asset management... BOS gives up Vaakanainen, Kase, Bjork, 1st rounder, and 2 2nds to only get back Palat and Johnson (who no one would take for free)

I think the tampa deals are pretty unrealistic from the bruins side of things, but if you want to attempt it, pick the one player you want and go from there. Getting all three players just to have to pay your way out of it is counter productive.

McDonagh maybe waives for Boston but zero chance he waves for Wings. Opposite side Wings would not want to take on his contract as rebuilding teams rarely take on long expensive contract for older players.

This is one of the worst ACGMs I have ever seen.

Even if McDonagh would waive for Detroit they would still pass. McDonagh is 31 and has 6 seasons left on his contract and a cap hit of $6.75M. I do agree that Boston is giving up too much but at the same time it's not what Detroit would be looking for as compensation for that contract.

So Boston is giving up Vaak, Bjork, Kase, a 1st rd pick and 2 2nd round picks for Johnson and Palat. The closer we get to the start of the season the likely hood of TB having to pay someone to take Johnson increases.
