I can’t imagine any scenario where the bruins want martinook, let alone give up a prospect they think highly of in the process, let alone give the dude a three year deal.

Isn't Frederic a rather low-upside guy that is verging on bust status? Of course, I don't know that much about Bruins prospects. I just think that Marty is the quintessential Bruin kind of player that would turn your 4th line from not-so-great to elite.

Boston 4th line is pretty solid. Frederic will be there soon. No place for him. He’s a bottom 6 center. I’d like to see him center the 4th line this year but we’ll see.

Definitely low upside. But they like him. He is definitely the quintessential bruin. Big body. Fights. Hits. They drafted him for the bottom six, which was dumb, but he’ll fit there. I think boston really likes their 4th line.

To be fair, the Bruins do find guys that can play in the NHL, even if they were somewhat head-scratching picks at the time that they were made. So we'll see.

Hey, if it works out in some form for you guys, great. I just knew that their 4th line wasn't very good last year and they didn't really do that much to improve it on paper. So if guys on it either have bounce-backs or get healthy (or a combination of both), then IMO a trade like the one that I posted wouldn't be necessary. I just see Martinook as a Bruin, for some reason. He's such a veteran, heart-and-soul guy even though he's only 28, and he drives great possession metrics.

I don’t think that’s an accurate assessment of the bruins fourth line last year.

Kuraly had a down year and Nordy was hurt, Wags missed some time. They will be fine. Matter of who joins Kutaly and Wagner this year. Like I said. Would like to see Frederic but they will likely give him another year in AHL. Probably Ritchie or Lindholm....meh.

The Bruins 4th line was indeed not very good last year or at least, didn't play the way they did in 2018-19. Bruins would probably keep Frederic and Lindholm, who's a serviable 13th F. If they add depth for playoffs, a pick is likely the only thing going in return.

I would say hes a low ceiling guy, but i wouldnt say hes bust status. Hes still young, and was a presence in the A. (over .5 ppg, 148 pim) I think hes also a quintessential Bruin. I do like Martinook, and feel like the 4th line was below standard last year, but just not at the cost of Frederic. Theres a chance Frederic could also be the guy that gives it the lift as well. (Sorry just noticed a decent amount of this was already said)

Foegele was drafted in the 3rd round and has well-exceeded expectations relative to his draft slot. He was near-half PPG with no power-play time while being one of the better PKers this year in the league. A second in 2022 is good value, IMO. I'm only dealing him here as an asset to compensate for Kuemper's package.
