Kinda interesting roslovic is kind of the jets top 6 insurance, but the added depth up the middle would be intriguing, being a western leaguer and exempt from expansion, hopefully a fit longterm. I haven’t seen enough of lundmark and steel to truly give a decent answer. Any decent deal helps both teams so this should have that covered.

Nope...

Before Dubnyk was moved, I would have taken it, if only because I thought it was impossible to move Dubnyk.

Now... not a chance.

Not even then. Stalock was the expansion draft eligible goalie when Dub was on the team. His cheap contract with the flat cap, and a decent season (statswise) last year, raises his trade value to more to more than a 4th also.

As a Jets fan, I love this deal. I think the value is close and fits well for both sides.

I'm not sure that this deal is as good for Anaheim as @Rooney thinks or as bad for us as my esteemed colleague @Salzy says. Steel is projected as our #2 center of the future and I'm not sure Groulx can replace him, and I have the suspicion that Perreault is going to be a RW, not a C, so I think that this trade creates a hole. But Roslovic and Lundmark could fill two other holes in our lineup. Bottom line, this is one of those trades that if the Ducks made it, I'd be happy, and if they didn't, I'd be just as happy. (By and large, I prefer improving by drafting and developing, not trading.)

Perhaps I was trying to channel the hockey gods when I said this trade fits both sides...I'd be VERY happy as a Jets fan if this trade went through .Anaheim would end up regretting this one I think, although it's hard to say for sure. Roslovic definitely has some un-tapped potential and Lundmark is a solid defensive prospect. Overall I still give Winnipeg the edge here. Also in regards to Perreault, he is 110% a winger and has not played centre in years.

I just dont see the merit in trading Steel for this package, Roslovic projects as a third liner that can play line 2 on occasion Lundmark is in the same tier as Axel Andersson to me and a third.

Steel should be kept, even if hes only a 3C in the future he's worth more than this package to me. If he does become a 2C this is a bad, bad deal for ANA.

I dont see a scenario where ANA wins this deal, but I do see several where they lose it

Yes, I agree with you that the risk here is almost all on Anaheim's side. But if our coaching and scouting staffs okayed this trade, I wouldn't be outraged by it as I would be as an Islander fan over the Toews deal or a Las Vegas fan over the premature Schmidt dump.
