But unless Krav has another poor year, he still carries significant value that I don't think the Habs would be willing to part with [their right side is already signed for multiple more years, he doesn't fit here anyways]

I mean Panarin Lafreniere Kakko and Kreider are the rangers top 6 long terme i think, I think targeting a #2 C or a D could be beneficial for the rangers

I looked into that. SBS explained the source mentioned the trade interest by Pittsburgh was likely for upgrade at RW before they got Kapanen. Absolutely does not mean Rangers were shopping him.

Kreider was signed before they got Lafreniere. Prospects will be fine. These are talented kids and the management believes highly of them.
