Wright.....on the wing?????

He's the best center on the team. I don't care what his age is. He's the most talented player there.

Might be true, but things like faceoffs and defensive game are a big factor at center which may lead to wanting the older guys playing the position

Maybe looking back in a couple years but Wright has been pretty average so far. Might not even make the team.

i dont think he makes it this year but hes a virtual lock for next year already...kinda happy i was refunded my tickets for next year so i can see him as a year older/more mature

When do 16 year olds ever do anything of note for team Canada? Even 17 year olds tend to struggle, look at guys like Byfield in his draft year, or Lafreniere in his D -1 year.

Don't get me wrong I'm all aboard the Shane Wright Express, and I agree he will probably be the best of the bunch in the future, but he's not ready. It's remarkable that he's even at camp as a 16 year old, but this team Canada is going to be insanely deep with players in a much better position to make an impact.

need to add an defenceman. Probably either Korczak or Spence. I also think Jamieson Rees makes the team as a great depth player. Goalies should be Brochu, Garand, Levi. I wouldn't put Gauthier but he has experience with hockey Canada so he might be on the team. Also key players in the top 6 are Newhook and Krebs.

I think Tavares was the last 16 year old to make WJC right? Or did McDavid make it at 16?

*Edit: NVM I am completely wrong, Tavares never made it at 16 McDavid and Crosby are the 2 most recent Canadians to do it

I think they’ll bring him along just for continuity for next year. Even if he watches from the press box.

I would say Harley, Barron, O'Rouke and Schneider have been the one I've noticed

I havent watched game 2 of the scrims so idk for sure, im just going off who I saw in game 1. Also havent really been paying too much attention to the defense
