More cap trouble

Description
Killorn and Johnson trades take place before 2020-21 season. Cirelli and Sergachev both take small one year extensions this off-season. Oleksiak takes a small contract to contend for one year if Dallas doesn't win Stanley Cup this year. If that is too low for Oleksiak, which it probably is, they just sign a different defender for the same cap hit.

    Coleman ain't signing that.
    Gonna be hard to move TJ, a late round 1st isn't enough to take that contract and a guy who looks to be a career AHLer isn't going to change that.

    Why are so many Tampa fans so reluctant to trade their young RFAs? Johnson is and his contract is untradable. Why does McDonagh waive his NTC to Vegas, who doesn't have cap for him anyway.?
    So those two guys carry over a 10m cap hit that stays with Tampa. Trade Sergachev, and Cirelli and by your $$$ figures, cap problem is solved.

    McDonagh is going to Seattle, not Vegas.

    Hay fair point. McDonagh's contract is not as bad (at least for no) as most others though. If Seattle's trying to win and Tampa comes calling and is paying you to take him, you gotta at least consider it. He would be a great leader as someone who just won a stanley cup and has captained a team before.
