We have absolutely zero need for Deangelo, as we still have Dumba for now, and even if we do move him we have Addison who is his eventual replacement. Then throw in that ADA is kinda a known d-bag, which is a definite issue when we're trying to change our culture for the better and Guerin wants high-character players brought in to change it.

I haven't the foggiest who Jones is, so I can't speak to him.

i understand your reasoning. deangelo is not a good person politcally so i do get that. however, he is a top 5 elite offensive dman. i could see why minn doesnt need him. Jones is a d prospect with top 4 upside. left side. also buch is set to have abreakout yet he isnt kaprizov like you say.

Kaprizov is not available but even if he were, the Wild don't need Buch or DeAngelo. The pick is cool and all but it's a late first. Idk much about Jones but as LHD prospect, he isn't needed much either.

I don't think you'll see too many complaints about the total value, but none of those pieces themselves, are really as enticing to MIN as you'd think. It also doesn't help that this forces Minnesota to make moves they don't need to make just to get cap compliant again.
