What's interesting is that if you have a top paid player, it's surprisingly likely that you have at least one more top paid player.

The fact that Hedman isn't even close to being on here is fantastic for Tampa. When you realize that Hedman, Point, and Kucherov are underpaid. Stamkos was underpaid when he signed his contract. The Lightning are still in cap trouble. If they hadn't signed Johnson to such a big deal they would have all the good contracts (Possibly other than Colorado with Landeskog and MacKinnon).

Im assuming this is sarcasm but the same could be said about some of your AGMs - 2nd overall picks, 30th overall picks, xGF team, worst xGF team, etc

I distinctly had to click more than one button to obtain the information for those, and they're more interesting than simply listing a bunch of players who have a high cap hit. You can go to "Active Players" in the "Players" drop down and find that out. Harder to do with draft picks and xGF or whatever.

But for sure man, go to bat for garbage like this.

It's the same concept. For the record im fine with all of these types of posts, I just think it's kind of hypocritical for you to post similar AGMs where you just copy guys from a list and also make fun of this one for doing pretty much the same thing

Alright whatever dude. I'm not going to defend a couple of AGCMs I made a few months ago more than what I already said.

i Find it insane that these men that shoot hockey pucks around, are being paid this much money. And Canadian soldiers, those who protect Canada, are paid less than $65,000 a year. DISGUSTING.

Canada hasn’t needed protecting since before it existed.

I find the fact that we have a military anymore appalling. Canada hasn’t been in danger for over 200 years. And if you want to help people in other countries, go join the UN. It ends up with the government wasting $20 billion per year that could go anywhere else other than just spending money perpetuating violence. I’m glad they don’t waste more money on useless stuff like the armed forces.

And as for how much the hockey players make, that’s how capitalism works. If you don’t want people involved in hockey to make money, then don’t pay for tickets, or watch it on TV, or buy any merchandise. They’re creating a product, of which there is a lot of demand for. If you want to blame anyone, blame the fans.

The fact that you call the armed forces 'Useless" and "wasting $20,000,000,000 a year" is repulsive.
I used to live about 15 minutes away from a CAF base, and the toll it took on the people was massive. These men were deployed to the middle east to help people out there, and wouldn't see their family for six months (!) at a time. They risked life and limb to serve their country.

If you can't see the need for a military in a corrupt world like this one, you're blind. Our government isn't stupid and wouldn't have a military if they werent used. When I lived up there, the military was VERY MUCH USED.

Sometimes it isn't about protecting yourself, its about protecting those who can't help themselves. No men in suits sitting at the UN is going to go in there and get their hands dirty. They're just worried about padding their pockets.

We do need a military but we shouldn't worship it. It's a job; people who join the Armed Forces are doing it willingly. Yeah, their definitely more risks in the profession compared to others, but it's still a job.

Athletes get paid more because a) scarcity of talent and skill compared to other professions and b) commercialization of the sport (ie why a mediocre football player will make double of what a great hockey player will make). We're also paying for the military through our taxes, we don't pay for McDavid or Matthews.
