Holl has solidified himself as a pretty solid Top 4 defensive D. You could do better than a 4th, most teams would accept that.
The Savard value is meh because Kerfoot is really only productive based on who is around him, which can be good but can also mean he goes games without producing and that 2nd round pick doesn't help Columbus out right now. So that's two uncertain pieces for one certain top 4 D. I think Toronto is strong enough rolling a right side of Brodie, Holl and Bog and doesn't need to sacrifice Kerfoot.
It's not the worst idea to pursue AA for that cheap as a replacement on Kerfoot and save $$$ on that 2mil. Does AA sign for that cheap? I don't see it. He may go as low as 2 or 2.5 but I think he wouldn't sign for less than 3.
The second for Dermott satisfies Edmonton's possible need for an NHL defenseman due to the uncertain length of Klefbom's injury, so I get that. The value is uncertain because it's hard to say for sure what Dermott is right now. People reeeeally loved him and as of late he's been getting second guessed a lot. While I think a change of scenery can be helpful I also think Edmonton chooses someone a bit more solid and consistent. I think they can find that for a 2nd, but I don't see them spending the second until they see how their Kefless D performs in the first bit of the season,
