Cameron Hillis looks like an underrated prospect, not a top prospect, but a solid one though. He’s a bit on the short side but that doesn’t seem to have hindered him much. He seems to be well over his injuries, and headed to the AHL. Including a late 2nd (TBL), and a 3rd (WSH), really sweeten the pot. It’s just that Byron’s three year contract disrupts the Senators rebuild, holding a roster spot that a rookie could fill, and gain experience. It’s fine for one season, but two isn’t optimal, and three hinders the Senators. There’s only 12 forward roster spots, and the Sens have a lot of forwards coming up to join the current core.
The Senators forwards next season, 21/22, in no particular order
Tkachuk
Balcers
Formenton
Paul
LBrown
Norris
White
Tierney
Dadonov
Batherson
CBrown
Watson
Chlapik
Abramov
That’s 14, signed and expected in Ottawa
Oh, Stuetzle makes 15, but not signed yet
