Not a fan of either teams but wow are you over valuing Marner. His value was never high let alone this high. Maybe you're high? Turn that pick selection into a 1st rounder+2nd rounder from Toronto if you want Boesner+Schmidt. Marners salary is horrible for a guy whos never scored 50 goals and never gotten 100 points in a season. He's barely a PPG player and only the last 2 seasons. You'd have to retain 3 to 4 Million of Marners deal on top of the 1st and 2nd round picks.

wouldn't expect vancouver to do this, but Marner does have the same amount of points as those 2 combined over the last 2 years

now yeah, games played and all that stuff but the same could be said for marner, he was injured off and on this year too

Somebody puts way too much time and energy into a site with fake GMs. Trying too hard to look like an expert but this much BS just looks pathetic.

Vancouver probably would accept that trade. Or Vancouver fans should be happy if they made that trade.

No way ANA does that deal though. They retain 2.4M for 7 years with Gibson?? That’s crazy!! And Kesler will retire in ANA or sign a 1-2 year deal with Vancouver, in 2 years when he becomes a UFA. He will be 38 when he becomes a UFA in 2 years too. Maybe one of two more years or he will retire at 38. He isn’t going on a team to Toronto for his last years!!

The two late 1st round pick are good. But that’s just what Gibson would cost. Probably F.Andersen and his expiring contract and two later 1st round picks. And no way they retain any money for 7 years!! And basically it would be Manson for Kerfoot then too. And I don’t think ANA would do that either!! A Right-Handed shooting D is way more valued than a 3C.

Yes, please take the Canucks' second-best Dman so we can see a right side of Myers, Holl, & Rafferty. That will definitely help the team contend Confused

This deal is an absolute fleecing for Toronto. Not value wise, but in the way that it makes the Canucks the exact same as Toronto: a trash defensive team that the offense can't compensate for.
No deal.

His value isn’t high though. He’s the second highest paid winger in the league, and he’s overpaid. That isn’t high value in a flat cap crisis where money is short all around.

Bruh what? Barely a PPG player ??? He had 94 points 2 seasons ago and was on pace for 101 points this year. This is why no one take Oilers fans seriously man

yes 94 points in 82 games, so he was 12 points more than games. I consider that barely. Break 100 points in a season then come back to me...We have two forwards who have broken 100 points(Leon 2 times, Connor 3 times), Draisaitl scored 50 goals in 18-19, and mcdavid scored 41 in 17-18 and 18-19, BOTH are career PPG players not just a couple seasons. Both have won the HART, ART ROSS, and TED LINDSAY. McDavid multiple times. So yes going positive 10 points in 1 season is BARELY a PPG season especially when you're below a career PPG and have only been a positive PPG player 2/4 seasons...

So basically what ur telling me is that u have two MVP caliber players and have failed to make the playoffs for the last 3 years LMAOO. And somehow u think that by adding Turris Barrie and Kahun ur gonna be the best Canadian team ?? That’s just hilarious. U have no defence, unreliable goaltending, and a literal average offence behind those 2 players. Like honestly, imagine having a MVp Type season from TWO players and failing to make the playoffs. Ur stars are gonna be angry soon and ask for trades lmao, no one wants to ruin this career on that trash team

Typical Toronto fan, way to write an entire paragraph arguing with me but not providing a single actual fact back other then make fun of the other franchise LOL.

If you don't think Holland added real depth to the Oilers this off season already then you either don't know anything about hockey or you are just blinded for your hate for the Oilers. The Oilers are absolutely up with Calgary and Vancouver for best in Canada, I don't mention Toronto because you're on par with the Oilers pre off season and haven't really done anything other than add TJ Brodie and Bogosian, oh and Simmonds, none of which will actually help you, maybe Brodie can make up a bit of D for you guys. So a Toronto fan making fun of an Oilers fan is the funniest thing. I least I have stats to back me up...

Oilers were embarassed in the play in round for playoffs, nobody is denying that but Koskinen and Smith were solid throughout last regular season and got us to 2nd in the pacific, 4 points ahead of Calgary, and got us to 5th in the west(4th in points, 3 ahead of Dallas). So to say that we have unreliable goaltending is biased hate. Adding Barrie, Kahun, Turris, Ennis again, potentially Puljujarvi who I still believe in, and having Bear and Jones better and Bouchard and Laggesson more NHL ready. The Oilers for sure have the depth we lacked last season...

Ask any non bias fan and they will tell u that EDM is no where near close to the best Canadian team lmaoo. I hate to break it to you, but Kahun Ennis Turris and Barrie are not a difference maker. Ennis couldn’t even maintain a spot in the lineup when he was with the leafs, Turris was scratched multiple times by Nashville, and with Barrie I don’t even have to explain it. If ur idea of adding depth is acquiring players who were healthy scratches on other teams, idk what to say to you lmao. The leafs are LITERALLY better than the oilers at every position. I still can’t get over the fact that u have had TWO players who had MVP caliber seasons last year and didn’t make the playoffs. Adding Turris Kahun Barrie will not push you over the top😂. Last year the oilers and leafs basically finished with the same
Records but the leafs missed muzzin for 2 months, rielly for 2 months, JT and marner for 6 weeks, and played in a MUCH harder division. It’s clear that the leafs are the better team here, it’s just ur bias that isn’t allowing u too see that.

And I certainly don’t hate the oilers, it’s always good to see a Canadian team do good, and every hockey fan wants to see McDavid in the playoffs. But it’s just ur bias that isn’t allowing u to see that they’re nothing but an average team.
