Tampa-Detroit

Créé par: Campabee
Équipe: 2020-21 Canadiens de Montréal
Date de création initiale: 20 nov. 2020
Publié: 20 nov. 2020
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Tampa deal is slightly in favor of Montreal but Tampa gains a valuable 2.5 Mil cap space so they might consider it. Perhaps Montreal could ad an additional mid round pick to even it out.

Why not? They get Gourde and Raddysh for Armia and a 2nd seems fair

Detroit says no. Tuomisto is a good prospect. Value might be fine but it doesn’t make sense for Detroit to give away prospects for veterans.

Wings Pass.

Byron is 31 year old with 3 years at 3.4 million and is bottom 6 forward
Mete is ok but a RFA next year and will look for a bump.

Tuomisto is a solid prospect with years of control and intriguing. Does not make sense to take on cap and give up a promising prospect for a 31 and a bottom defender while trying to rebuild.

Yeah that was already outlined above and I concede that all those points are pretty valid. I will change later too busy rn

Both deals aren't Crazy. Having Raddysh is enticing.

Yeah hard pass from Detroit, You don't trade young prospects for aging players during a rebuild.

I just don’t think they want Gourdes contract with some young guys like Suzuki looking to get paid.

Even with Gourde's contract this next season they have 13 mil and only Tatar, Lehkonen, Danault and Kotkaniemi as major resignings. They let Tatar walk resign KK at 3.5 Mil x 3 years, Danault at 5.5 x 8 and Lehkonen at 2.5 x 5 that's 11.5 Mil we still have 2.5 mil for whatever holes are left plus one of Allen Chiarot or Edmondson or Gourde goes to Seattle giving us another 2-5.5 Mil. The year after we only have Suzuki, Romanov and Evans to sign and 9 Mil plus whatever is left from next seasons cap. So no added cap issues by taking Gourde and Raddysh

No, we don’t have open roster spots currently and would ideally use that cap space to leverage futures. If we were to acquire cheap veterans then we’d go after a cap strapped team like the Toews/Schmidt deals.

I like the MTL-TB deal for both sides
although, I dont see a second going back to TB.
MTL might be done adding to their top 6, but Gourde has value and so does Raddish. this is one of those deals that TB is gonna have to make to get RFA's signed and cap compliant.

because while Gourde is a slight upgrade over Armia, paying a 2nd and taking on all of that cap isn't worth it.

While I do agree with not trading young prospects, you do need Veterans that will show the prospects the ropes on how to become a successful NHLer
