Honestly this does the bruins a pretty big favor giving tampa two chances to lose in the playoffs before they would potentially have to play them.

I mean you guys don't look as dominate as years past. Especially with the guys on IR

I just don’t really see anything to base that off of. The last time the NHL was playing under normal circumstances, the bruins were on their way to a presidents trophy, coming off a game 7 in the cup final. Then covid hit, they blew the doors off of Carolina, before losing to what was head and shoulders the best team in the NHL.

Since then they lost Torey Krug. That stings a little i guess, but i don’t think it’s a crippling loss.

So, are you planning on Bergeron falling off a cliff? That’s a very realistic possibility, but i wouldn’t exactly rely on it. I’m not trying to make any predictions or anything, but logic dictates the bruins will probably be the second best team in the east this year, behind tampa.

Isn't Pasta and Marchard expected to be on the IR to start the year. About 1-2months? In a shorten season if you guys get off to a bad start could be a up hill battle. Gone is Krug and possibly Chara. Who is going to score goals for you guys with those two out on IR? Agree with the rest

I wouldn't say so. It is basically the Metro but instead of PIT and CLB it is BOS and BUF. No more deathly than the current Metro.

Fair, I was just having some fun with a World Cup reference since this will only be for 1 year. But still, out of these groups this one looks the hardest

Marchand is supposed to be back mid January. At the rate things are going, that might not miss a game. Pastrnak mid february. Could be a couple weeks depending on the start date.
Bergeron, Debrusk (27 in 68 the last time they actually got to play out a season), smith, coyle, kase, krejci can all score. Some longer shots would be guys like bjork and studnicka to pick up the slack. Either way, this will likely be a team that can win a lot of games while only scoring two goals.

This is BS imho. This is just another way for the NHL to eliminate more Canadian teams from the playoffs and have more US teams in them. Covid aside either leave the divisions the way they are or don't have a season. All canadian division is dumb. If they still do a 16 team playoffs at the end of the season in a bubble which they will then that's 4 from every division and you're gonna see either Anaheim, Arizona, San Jose, or LA in the playoffs all of which would not be in the playoffs if the divisions were unchanged.

I mean, that's kinda what I was saying. That's a lot of if's for next year. Both guys comeback healthy, the kids take the next step, most of the scoring comes from that dominate first line. Again, as I said before, I just don't see you guys looking very dominate as year previous. No Chara or Krug.

You may have noticed i mention the loss of Krug. You don’t have to inform me of this. I am aware. I don’t think it’s a big deal. Marchand maybe missing the first game or two, Pastrnak maybe a couple weeks. Whatever. That’s not going to matter come playoff time.

Also, I’m not on the team. I wish i was, but I’m not. It’s not, “you guys.”

Thx tips for me being grammatically incorrect. Not sure why you are so touchy. I actually just dig hockey, even the Bruins despite the rivalry. And from the outside, they don't look as dominate as years previous. Try to get a hug tonight

It’s just irritating when i clearly list krug as a loss, and then in your next two responses you’re like, “well, they’re missing krug dontcha know.”

All i said was shifting tampa out of division helps them for a playoff run. If you disagree with that, lord help ya.

There were only 3 Canadian teams in the top-16 last year. What's the difference here? I guess it depends on how they set the playoffs - 3 per division and then 2 WC spots is normal and shouldn't be detrimental to the Canadian division.

I think an all-Canadian division would be amazing.
