Nylander or Marner

I hate to say it but probably Marner. I don't think his contract is as bad as some make it out to be, and I do think he's better than Nylander. But Willy is so good and has such a good contract based on last season, that it'd have to be him. Marner wasn't himself this past year though, so I think he'll probably bounce back next year. Nylander, cuz im biased and would probably punch the wall if Marner was traded.

Nylander, while he is an incredible player, we got plenty of guys who can score and honestly another 30 goal season can lead to a monster return

Marner at least can play defensive and Patty Kane even said himself Marner reminds me of myself when I was his age. Marner is an incredible playmaker and he and matthews have incredible chemistry, the numbers even show it was better than Nylander-Matthews or Tavares-Marner.

So Nylander would be the guy.

Moving Marner impacts your team more than if Nylander was traded. Nylander is replaceable but Marner is not.

Marners already been paid half his contract and is only owed 34 mill. Someone would take but leafs would have to take a bad contract which they have no desire on doing.

If Dubas made the call Marner was available teams desiring a playmaker and who have the space would bite. But it aint happening as Marner has to much potential to be moved and should hit 100 points in the next full season.

Even LEAFS fan sites admit marner is overpaid. This isn’t a debatable fact. I never said he was a bad player. He’s a very good player and probably a top 10 winger in this league. But that doesn’t change the fact that he’s overpaid, and leafs have 4 guys who make over $40 million. The leafs will have some tough decisions to make in the future. a no one has the cap room. b. no one is putting 11 million on a guy who scores 20 goals and isn't even really the driving force on his team. He's not Panarin.
The sooner you understand that the better off you'll be.
He didn't explode till JT was his center. You take out a 1A center around him and he's no where near worth 11 million. At least Panarin drives the play and is the guy on his line. He did a lot with little help. No one can say that about Marner. That's a bad contract, no matter how you flip it.

Yup, I'm hoping the same. Still not a huge Nylander fan because of him sitting out half the year and dreadfully sucking and being vastly overpayed the second half. At least he's good now.
