value isn't totally based on the player, which is the problem here. Not many teams can fit these players and cap space is hard to move even if they wanted to open up space for them.
So there is the cost of opening space, on top of getting the player. Which isn't cheap.
Most the teams with cap space, are bottom of the league, none of them are giving up top 5-8 picks for these guys. That just doesn't fit anyone's rebuild plans.
You could argue late round 1sts but none of those teams have the room.
Trying to move guys today and not take cap back, isn't a real possibility. Unless teams have the room. If TB wanted to move these guys they should have tackled their problems earlier.
Teams had space before FA and they could have cut some deals. They choose not to.
Their plan is plan B....wait for all the cap space to flood off the market, offer them QO and be done.
That's really the only route for them at this point. Everything else is too costly to be worth it.
