in regards to the poll, it's hard to say at this stage. this to me is his "prove it" year. if he can turn the kids into stars I'd say yes. if he hinders lafreniere, kakko, and fox then i'd be concerned.

as far as the team, the only change I would make (based on what I remember from last year) is Buch on PP2 and Kakko on PP1. I wonder if Jeff Gorton knew the rangers would get Lafreniere, does he still sign Kreider at that term? it would be nice to see what Laf could do with Mika.

I'd like to see Krieder move to the right and put Buch on the third line and move Lafrenière up.

Yeah, It would make sense that if the kids don't take huge steps forward this season, you look for someone else just to see if they can get more out of them so you don't waste their entire ELCs.

why put that much pressure on Laf right out of the gate?
i'm not saying he can't handle it, but what does it gain the team.

in my opinion they role him on the 3rd line to start the season. give him some time to get used to the NHL style of play...
If not, next best option is to put Panarin on the 1st line with Mika and KK, move CK to the right side of Strome and put Laf on the left side.
