Sid should be #3, none of those guys are better than him yet and it's honestly not really close. Marner shouldn't be that high, I'd rather have Point, Stone, or Barkov. Also, Petey really hasn't established himself at the same elite level as some of these guys yet, his career high is 66 points, no point per game seasons, never even a 35 goal pace. I think people are pre-emptively adding him to lists like these because he's young, fun to watch, and should be here eventually, but he's not there yet imo

Yeah there’s some obvious ones like Patrick Kane, John Carlson, and some goalies probably. Yet does anyone feel Bergeron is wildly underrated?

Curious as to where your no. 1 goalie in the NHL would land on your top players list since you don't have one in your top 15 or the extras

definitely considered kane; carlson's defense made me look at other dmen first; you could be right on bergeron but he generally gets overshadowed by pasta and marchand because of point totals and raw offensive talent. of course he is still an elite, high end talent, but I guess I tended towards goal creation first

This looks like a, “top 15 NHL fantasy players,” list to me. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but when it comes to winning tough hockey games, its pretty clear to me that elite two way d men are the most important asset in the game, and you’ve only got two of them on here.

fair point. I guess the closest definition to the criteria is next years expected top 15 in hart trophy voting (assuming healthy players)? but even then I'm probably still off. I kinda whipped this together impulsively, so looking back it may not be totally accurate

I don’t think it’s bad, i just think you have to further define the list. Hart trophy has become pretty darn close to “best fantasy player.”
