Wait till Stars fans get a hold of this deal. I recently did an ACGM with Dennis Gurianov coming back to Pens. I did McCann, who is 24 years old, and back to back 35 point seasons, and a 2nd round pick, and they were outraged..lol. I thought it was an overpay. And so did many Pens fans!! But apparently they love Gurianov in Dallas and his one good year..lol.

Sorry, I did McCann and a 2nd round pick for Gurianov and M.Pysyk(a 3rd pairing or 7th-8th RHD).

Let's not roll the dice with a struggling backup again this season. Please. I beg you

Can you blame Stars fans for being crazy about him? Gurianov is likely to be their best 1st round drafted forward since Morrow in 1997. Even since the 2006 draft, there’s been 2 players picked by Dallas who have scored 100 career NHL goals. Benn and Reilly Smith - who didn’t produce until he was traded.

Well your trade is bad and so is this one. I don't know how either of these deals improves Dallas in any way. Dallas needs goal scoring and you suggest they trade away their best goal scorer (who's only 23) for players Dallas does not need.

And you say "...and his one good year. Lol."

Yeah.... he was a rookie last season.

I dont think they are entirely in the wrong. Gurianov took massive strides this year, similar to Fiala but not quite as big. DG is a big physical RW who really stated to estanlish himself as a top 6 winger this season and especially these playoffs. He also has a lethal shot, like insane shot, almost like a discount Ovechkin on the powerplay.

McCann is just as good if not better than Gurianov and is still 24. Good luck with him. He’s a defensive liability too.

McCann had 14 goals and 21 assists and 35 points last year in a shortened season and had 19 goals and 35 points the year b4. All while being bounced around his first 4-5 years between the top 2 lines, as top 6 winger, and to a 3rd line center. Ohh ya, he’s played in the NHL since 19 years old. I bet every team wishes their 22nd overall pick plays in the NHL when they are 19. And Now, this year, the Pens said, they are just leaving him on the LW so he can do what he does best. And score, shot the puck. He has a great shot too. Not worry about play-making for his line mates as much. So watch him this year. He’ll score 20 plus for sure!! And he still only 24 years old. Gurianov is 23 and just started in the NHL. And like I said, a defensive liability. It’s why the coaches didn’t want to play him.

“Furthermore, Gurianov in particular is viewed by the coaching staff as a defensive liability, hence why he earned the lowest 5-on-5 time out of all Stars players”.

Ouch!! Good luck!! Hope he scores more than 20 goals this year!! He’s gonna need to in order to get ice time!! The 9 assists too, doesn’t seem like much of a playmaker!!

You say all this and you're the one who proposed the trade to get Gurianov. If McCann is so good then you can keep him.

Also I can tell you don't watch Stars games because over the course of the season and into the playoffs Gurianov improved tremendously in his own end and on the backcheck.

Hope you remember this when he scores 30 goals this upcoming season.

Yep, I would rather McCann. We just need more help on the RW. And need a right-handed shot. And looking back, it was ZAR, a prospect and a 2nd rounder..lol. Sorry.
