Quoting: Wqrrior
they are.
every minute the wild wait Dumba loses value. Its evident that moving him is to escape the ED. There's no leverage. Dvorak is a pretty solid center too, and the Wild have no true top 6 centers. Dvorak carries more value than Dumba in this modern day vacuum.
The Wild don't need to escape anything at the ED.
Projected exposed players aren't anything that big outside of size
Jordan Greenway: not exactly anything you're losing sleep over
Carson Soucy: Same thing, really
Brennan Menell: Maybe you lose sleep over it as he seems to produce everywhere and ad never saw him in the NHL for an extended period of time but it's not like Minnesota can't afford to lose him. Minny is extremely deep at RHD in the organization.
It's not like tjese guys even challenge for Dumba's spot and yeah, you're not excited to see any of these guys go but lets not pretend like they are massive pieces for the Wild and/or nothing can be done to keep them.
With hardly any thinking the Wild could probably just get Zucc to waive and pay Seattle to keep Menell who, yeah we can has him up now, but it's hard to imagine his price being all too high when its all said and done. Especially if Seattle's consolation prize is Soucy.
Problem solved and Greenway isn't a problem unless Zucc won't waive his NMC and Greenway breaks out.
Theres a number of ways for it to go but I dont think any of them break the Wild's back.
And Dumba losing value? Bro the only reason hes still in Minnesota is because his market isn't good enough and theyre banking on it being better after a bounce back season, something that looked promising during the playins. You never sell low and expect to win a trade
