I think the Sabres will somewhat regret not taking Rossi (who IMO is NHL-ready right now at this instant), but Quinn's still a very good player with a great shot and would not be surprised if he's ready for the NHL by next season.

I didn’t think he’d be signed this year. I hope he works out for them. Personally, I’d rather have had them take Askarov or Rossi.

Huge gamble of a pick - I don’t like the pick but hopefully the kid can shut us up and light up the show

They could've had Eichel and Rossi down the middle for the next 15 years. Quinn has to be spectacular to make this pick worthwhile

I'm sure he'll be a decent winger in his own right. I hope people don't berate him if the two guys picked after him do better.

He will be a great player, love what he can bring to our team. Adams drafted according to our position of biggest need. Hopefully it doesn't bite us. Rossi may be NHL ready but Cozens is too and I think Cozens is much more of a sure thing than Rossi. Future top 6 of Skinner, Eichel, Reinhart, Olofsson, Cozens, Quinn looks and sounds deadly. Throw Hall in there and you got an elite forward group

Now take out skinner causes he’s kinda yikes and put Hall in and it’s actually a top 6

I think Betting on UPL and taking a forward is way better than Askarov imo, but if UPL fails and we miss on Askarov and Rossi with Quinn turning up mediocre then this is bad, way worse than expected.

Skinner actually wasn't horrible last year just seemed so unlucky, I wish he wod use his skating skill set better though, he loses the puck sometimes doing fancy skating moves

Rossi is not NHL ready and Quinn was the better pick.
Rossi ain't battling for no pucks on the NHL level. They'll pound him in the boards and move on.
You been watching too much regular season hockey. Once the playoffs start, the kiddy gloves are off and the smaller players just get pushed around.

You're Rossi harshest critic eh? Not optimistic on his transition to NHL?

you can have all the skill in the world. It doesn't matter when you are sprawled out all over the ice every time you step out onto it. Not like he's going to do anything about it.
I'm sure he'll be a regular season hero. But no one watches hockey for the regular season.

So you believe he'll subject for toying with. He's 5'9. I'm pretty sure Martin St. Louis could be a great example of a post-season hero no? Believe he's 5'8...

I'm not straight up disagreeing with you, but is your argument strictly based on his size or his work ethic to dilute his issues being his size?

Martin St. Louis ain't played hockey in like 20 years.

go watch smaller players play, it's always the same with them. They stop short of the boards and wait for someone else to get them the puck.
You just can't win games like that when they count. There are very few smaller players who are willing to go in those boards, and most of them are considered dirty for the crap they do in doing it. Think Marchand. Who takes out people's knees and boards people.
Do I see Rossi going into the boards fighting for pucks. Nope.
Do I see Quinn....yup.

That's what it takes to win. You must want to go get the puck. And after a few hits, Rossi, he ain't gonna want the puck.

More like 6 but okay?

I like hearing good on Quinn>Rossi but Rossi would be our 2nd or 3rd line center behind Eichel and somewhere below or above Cozens. I don't know if him being buried like that sways away from the hard nose game you insist he needs to play?

Or not. What if Rossi sucks? Love people acting like Rossi is a slam dunk. If he was, he would have went 1st overall

BUF absolutely needs to hit on this pick. Personally, I don't think he was over drafted at #8, but still has a ton of pressure on him (and on the Sabres front office) to make it, especially when you consider the Forwards they've missed on in the last few drafts.
