I agree on Sandin but does not hurt to have too much leadership. If a player goes down, who would you want to bring up? Marincin or Chara? In terms of Lehtonen, we have no idea who this guy is. Plotting him into the lineup as if he has a roster spot is pure nonsense.

If the Leafs have a little luck and don't have Muzzin and Reilly on LTIR as they were last season, Reilly, Brodie, Muzzin and Holl is solid. Now who are the next two or three is same problem most teams have. Dermot, Sandin, Marincin and Lehoten can certainly be OK

Chara’s impacts on offence are not very good anymore, but he is still pretty solid defensively. xGA ranks in the 70th percentile league wide. Do not a bad option to have on your third pair with Dermott.

Of the three options he's linked to, the Lightening are the defending champions looking to repeat and the Isles were the team that drafted him and brought him into the league, so there are possible reasons to play for both. He's spent most of his career with the Leafs key rivals in Ottawa and Boston so would be weird to see him with the Leafs but who knows? Maybe he's been a closet Leafs fan all these years?
