Taking Eriksson locks up a lot of cap in a compete year, but it’s just the one year, and two picks. It doesn’t help the Sens, but it hurts less, and it’s pretty tempting since all the signing bonus money will have been paid. I’m not a fan of the draft years of the picks, but it’s all they had left. That’s a lot of missed draft picks over three years.

Just a moment, Dahlin isn’t an RFA until after those 2021 draft picks have been used, so add another year to every pick. That’s a long time to receive payment.
