That would be an excellent deal for Bear, but I think his deal would be more in the of range of 1.25 - 1.75 Million on a 2 year deal. As for Duclair, I don't think he's a good fit for the Oilers plus Edm would need cap space to active Klefbom from IR unless its confirmed he's for the season and If the case than our biggest need will be adding another experience defenseman.

Never really was worth it. Even at the time, Oiler fans were hoping for a lower number on either the term or the AAV. If Holland waited literally 1 month and COVID started up. Kassian would be looking at a 2 year, $3M AAV contract. After his play in the play-in series, he wouldn't even be getting more than a 1 year deal. He should consider himself very lucky for signing that deal when he did. At this point, Oilers can only hope he returns to his pre-covid play. Even then, he isn't a discount deal.

At this point, you'd have to imagine thats a fair deal for Duclair. Yes he was offered more from Ottawa, but to my understanding, that was long before we really saw the impact COVID has had on the players contracts. I see some people saying that he is a liability on the ice, but any player with speed and skill is a great add to Connors line. 97s line carries the possession and thats without having a legit top 6 winger playing with him. Duclair is young and played well on a brutal Senators team. Im all for this deal. Haven't really heard any rumours on who he's been talking to.

if you are going to spend 3.1M on a left wing why not go for Mike Hoffman.
