They would make space. Getting rid of Lucic would cost at least a 1st. That makes this trade Marner for Andersson and a 2nd. That would be a steal. Even with Marner making a little more than desirable, he is a prime age Gaudrea for the right side which is their weakest point on the roster.

Thank you yes it amazes me here how people miss the forest for the trees in part it's getting too stuck in to bureaucratic nuances which is understandable but

No interest in moving Andersson for a winger even if that trade does favor Calgary. Toronto would never do the trade anyways so not worth arguing
