This is about an average NHL roster honestly
This forum needs to appreciate that prospect projections always are generous and the reality is sobering, imaginations always run a little bit wild
Jake Sanderson likely will be somewhere between Ryan Murray and Noah Hanifin for instance... Werenski/MacAvoy is about a 20% likelihood
Formenton & Norris closer to Dvorak/Fischer at best
I love Abramov but maybe he's just Rocco Grimaldi
I mean RG is excellent but
That's a conversation for another thread 🤐
The Sens prospect pool is incredibly deep. Surely some will pan out, many won't. But looking @ their d prospects as an example - Brannstrom, Sanderson, JBD, Thomson, Wolanin, Jaros, surely they'll hit the mark with at least one of those playing top 4 minutes. The bottom pairing can be made up of free agents or with reliable prospects.
Up front they have an embarrassment of riches, again some will stick, some won't. I won't list them all, but Tkachuk is a homerun. Stuezle has comparisons to Patrick Kane - even a light version of Kane is a huge upgrade. White had an off year but should be top 9. Norris, Formenton lit up the AHL and are ready to graduate. Logan Brown likely won't pan out, but maybe he's Mika Z 2.0 (and he takes flight somewhere else!).
Philosophically, I guess what I am saying with this roster, is supporting with some proven top 6 scoring and a top 4 dman, the team should be very competitive given their depth of prospects. One can add/drop prospects into that lineup as they see fit.
