Description
FLA will be terrible again. They will not compete and I don't see Barkov re-signing there. They are probably behind Buffalo and Montreal at this point and Detroit and Ott got better as well.

I have to think about moving him now or you end up like the Isles. Sure, you can move him next deadline and hope Tippett pops, but it's still going to take another 3 or so years for those guys to really develop.

Dallas will have to move lindell. Klingberg and Heiskanen will both be paid more, or they will lose both Johns and Oleksiak. They need Expiring big money with Value. Krejci is a playoff monster.

Its a good trade but you don't neccesarily need Barkov right now. Maybe for the future but overall pretty good.

Oh, they need a center. Not immediately, but Krejci is 34 and Bergeron is 35. It's coming real quick. I guess they could wait for FA, but then run the risk of getting outbid. They expect Studnicka and or Beecher to fill those roles, but it could take them a couple years where you are wasting Pastrnak, Marchand & McAvoy's low cap hit.

See the problem with this is that you are essentially trading away our future... We barely had a future to begin with but with this we have virtually no prospects. I'm a Bruins fan and I say no. What we really need to do is tank/rebuild for top draft picks. They have one maybe two seasons left with this core. After this upcoming season, build around Pasta and get future assets.

You could resign Barkov and rebuild around him, Pastrnak, McAvoy. Strong building blocks.

Your draft picks will be late. and you also brought back a needed LHD.

I don't disagree. Barkov is super special in my opinion. He is about the only guy that could "replace" Bergeron.

I think Lauko will be REAL good. I could See JFK back as well as a 3c. Barkov Coyle JFK could be decent, or Frederic/FA. Kase is still young. Barkov, McAvoy, Lindell, Pastrnak, kase isn't a bad place to start with second wave of a core Especially if Bergeron and Marchand are still there and producing - which they will be in 2 years.

I think the Hope is Vaakanianen turns into Lindell. The Bruins need one of Studnicka or Beecher to hit as a legit #1. There is also a good chance they both Top out as 2C's. or worst case scenario 3c's. I think Studnicka will be like Kesler, which I am fine with (Vancouver Kesler). I don't know about Beecher... Reminds me of Coyle. Again, I am fine with that, but not a true 1. Barkov is that.

Can you imagine having to matchup against Bergeron/Marchand and Barkov/kase and then Coyle/Smith.

That is a very strong defense forward group who can also score.

Hypothetically speaking, if Florida has a disaster season, this is actually a package that they would have to consider. I don't know if I would do this trade as a Bruins fan, but you did a great job with this trade. This is a package that they're forced to consider.

Is it though? He still won't resign there because they can't win. I am confused by your flex. Montreal is better, I guess I gave Buffalo a little too much credit. Still Zero chance of making it out of the 1st round. Ever.

I Guess they were a little better off than I expected. Kudos to Barkov.

What? We faced the 98 million dollar team Tampa Bay Lightning without our #1 Defenseman and still took them to 6
We have some great prospects coming up and I guarantee we win a cup in the next 3 years

Lol. Nope. You have one great prospect, but there is a guy ahead of him making 10m for the next decade or so. I am glad you played Tampa's warm up round. You also took out like 12m in cap hits too. There is Zero chance you win the cup in the next three years, unless you get a haul for Barkov/Huberdeau. You are in what they call Cap hell. 3 years from now, Your three best players will all likely be making double. Probably somewhere else.

Huberdeau, Barkov and Weeger.

One great prospect? We literally have one of the best C prospects in the world Anton Lundell, who will be nhl ready next year, and we have a great top 6 potential prospect in denisenko, and Tippett can only get better

We are not in cap hell. We will have no issues signing Barkov or Huberdeau because we have significant contracts coming off the books when it is time for them to be re-signed

Bobrovsky has 5 years left on his deal, not 10

Our team is incredibly deep and has a very good chance of making a deep run as early as next year. If you can't see that then you must have some sort of eye problem.

Again, Nope. You have to field a team other than Barkov. The Panthers just aren't very good and they have virtually no chance of getting better. Deep?

Tippett is fine, but he is 22. He had 7 goals in 45 games. Menh.
Not sold on Lundell. Reminds me of Borgstrom.
The Bob comment was what we call sarcasm. Have fun with 5 more years for a back up goalie.
You have 2.5 NHL dmen. Ekblad and Weeger. Nutivarra gets a.5.

The big thing you are ignoring is that you presumably move back into normal divisions next year where you have Zero shot of making the playoffs.
no particular order:
1. Boston
2. Tampa
3. Toronto
4. NYI
5. Pitt
6. Carolina
7. Caps
8. NYR

Montreal, Philly & and a Detroit team run by Yzerman & a ton of money.

Barkov will likely be a wing if we are being completely honest.

Who are your dmen?
who will not finish in the top 8 for the EC in the next three.... Who will be knocked out?
Pitt and Washington being the most vulnerable IMO. Boston too if they don't get a contingency plan for center (Barkov) .

Again, you are the only one laughing. Seriously - where do you see FLA sliding in over next year? because you have ONE year to convince Barkov to stay. How does FLA make the playoffs? Which team(s) are out next year? I'd actually put Montreal and Philly in over Pitt and Washington, but all pitt needs to do is fix their goalie situation and Washington is TBD with Seattle, Ovi and Kunetsov. I just find it hard to believe they don't make the playoffs.

***not even 1 year. You have until about Christmas/New years.

We are a better team than:
Toronto
Washington
New York Rangers
Pittsburgh

At LEAST those teams

Ekblad, Weegar, Forsling are all great defensemen, Gudas is a fine defenseman, Nutivaara can be good, Yandle is bad

Bennett
Wennberg
Duclair
Wallmark
Gusev
Forsling
Juulesen
Montour

All need to be resigned to stay exactly the same.

You will lose Forsling or Nutivarra to expansion. Gudas is horrible. Absolutely terrible. He is a 3rd pairing at best. but better as a 7th.

You are not better than Toronto. Not even close. Sure they are choke artists, but to think you have more talent is delusional. Washington and Pitt - Nope, not yet and the Rangers. No 1000 times. That team will be a powerhouse well before you.

Huberdeau, Weeger, Barkov & verhaege are the only guys that really interest other teams. Maybe Ekblad, but TBD with injury/contract. He was having a good year, but not the stud everyone thought he would be.
