Anthony Mantha a signé un contrat de 4 ans d'une valeur de 22 800 000 $ avec les Red Wings de Detroit, le 3 nov. 2020. Le contrat comporte un cap hit de 5 700 000 $.
Good deal, he was almost at a point per game last season and has been around 40+ points for a while and playing with Larkin will help this contract look good but in the back end it will most likely look like a steal. Also THANK GOD THE MANTHA TRADES WILL END
Fair deal given the term IMO, potentially a steal if he gets it all together and stays healthy. Good to see Yzerman has faith in him too. I think if all things work out for both sides during the next 4 years, there’s a solid chance he resigns too.
Yeah I saw friedman tweet that and I actually was shook that he asked that much - i knew he was gonna try and make some team overpay for him but damn...that’s a laughable number that he wants to be paid more then Mika Z, Hertl, rakell to name 3. It’s not good to use other guys as argument to why you should be paid but I would say if he got 4.5 I wouldn’t be happy tbh if I was a NYR fan
Lighter than I thought it would be, but COVID has done that to contracts. I'm surprised at the length with the lighter amount though. If he has a healthy year, he may prove that he is worth more than this.
So it's basically the Josh Anderson contract except ....
- Mantha expires when he's 30, while Anderson expires when he's 34.
- Mantha has 3 seasons with more points than Anderson's career high.
- Mantha got more than 4 points last season.
- Mantha got more than 1 goal last season.
- Mantha didn't just have shoulder surgery.

Sounds legit.
Are you going to mention Mantha's made of glass or completely ignore that?
Little pricey but for a player who is going into his prime and going to score about 70-90 points it's a good deal and if Detroit continuos to suck (Hopefully they don't) he will have great value.
