CBJ wouldn't make this trade.
Bjorkstrand is a guy on an upward trajectory - the team sees him as having 30-goal potential based on how he's grown. Prying him from the team (that is starved for goal-scoring as it is) would require a gross-overpayment.
Blackwood doesn't really do anything for them. Trading one of Korpi or Elvis would mean the other one has been performed well enough to be the starter. Plus, They are confident enough in their goalie pipeline at the moment (Tarasov, Vehvilainen, Thome) that they don't really need Blackwood to come in and either be the backup, or pair for a 1A/1B situation. Him coming off his ELC and being due for a pay-rise also doesn't help when the team is going to have some tough contract decisions to make in the next 1-2 seasons.
