Reverse the BUF trade - Dobson untouchable. Ladd to LTIR instead. Also, BUF just signed ZG so I don't know why they trade him. (Also Jokiharju is good. Doubt BUF moves him either)
Barzal prob doesn't take that contract and bets on himself. Too light. $7x3 bridge. Remains an RFA at conclusion.
Sign Pulock $5.5x5 range.
Trade the 2nd rounders to clear cap. Namely Boychuk and/or Komarov.
Sign back Matt Martin (vet min) and Andy Greene ($1m ish)
Depending on remaining cap, sign Duclair for the 3rd line and call up Wahlstrom to round it out.

You can disagree, i think jokiharju will be a very good #3 D , I just don’t think he’s good enough to be top pairing.

Dobson led all isles D in almost every offensive and defensive metric while playing on his offside with one of the worst defenseman in the NHL. He can very easily be a #1 defenseman by the end of next season.

Watch him go sign Simmonds and Thornton next. The game has passed him by.

Biased would be you calling Dobson a meh prospect when hes one of the best up and coming D in the NHL. He’s an elite skater, great defensively and he can drive play offensively at a high level. He has almost everything you want in a top pairing D. I’m not the only one who thinks that. Multiple scouts see him as a future #1 D

He's has the potential to be a #1 dman, he looks really good so far. He's better then henri who projects to be a 3/4
