Dream scenario

Créé par: GuentzelvaniaUSA
Équipe: 2020-21 Penguins de Pittsburgh
Date de création initiale: 2 nov. 2020
Publié: 2 nov. 2020
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
1. Poulin makes the team

2. McCann breaks out at center

3. Kapanen develops chemistry with Crosby

4. POJ proves he can play nhl minutes if needed. Will be important during injury season

5. Desmith shows he still can handle a heavy workload. Shortened/accelerated season means teams will need 2 good goalies even more than in the past.

If these 5 things can happen you should get hyped for this season because this team could turn out to be really really good.

McCann is not a center. He’s not a playmaker. He’s a goal scorer. Wing is where he belongs.

I don’t know why people hate Jankowski? Why wouldn’t you want Janko to get back to a 3rd Center production
Like his 1st 2 years.

Jankowski is coming off the team that drafted him and his entry-level deal. And you know you are getting a top PK Forward and atleast a really good defensive center.

If Janko improved last year or just didn’t have a down year. He’d be a top FA. 1st year, 17 goals and 25 points. 2nd year, 14 goals and 32 points.

Yes, last year he sh*t the bed. But last year is easy to write-off(for everyone..lol). Imagine if he just improved alittle bit again or stayed relatively the same. The narrative would be completely different. A 25 year old, former 1st round pick. Coming off his 1st team, ready for a change of scenery and his break-out year. And maybe CGY just used him wrong.

But now, it’s a show-me contract. Show me you can get back on track and last year was a fluke. But again, it was only his 3rd year and a weird year. And had 2 descent years prior. And is a good defensive Center and really good on the PK.

Janko is our 3rd line Center(unless we sign Haula, and I wouldn’t hold my breathe), and McCann is our 3rd line LW. We need help on that 3rd line RW. I would like the Pens to sign Kovalchuk more than Haula and then have our 3rd line set and move Rodrigues to the 4th line RW, with Tanev/Blueger, until Z.A.R. Is back and healthy.

Who invited negative nelly?? Bud its the Penguins. Don't forget this is a team that can surprise the league and do the impossible. Never count these guys out and stay positive!

I like all these scenarios. McCann is naturally a C aswell.

Lol. I’m good bud. I like Jankowski and like the signing as our 3rd line center. I think all Pens fans are sleeping on him. Maybe u didn’t read my post. I know it was long..lol.

I just don’t know why one of your “dreams” wouldn’t be for Jankowski to get back to his production from
his 1st two years and show last year was a fluke. And nope, not so much. McCann is playing the wing from now on. Every JR or Sullivan quote say he’s a more natural winger. That he has a great shot. He’s a goal scorer. You can just look at his stats and tell that. He’s not a playmaking center, or even a top defensive player to play the Center position. He’s more suited for wing. And will play LW this year with Janko as our 3rd line Center. That’s how the depth chart is now if we don’t sign any other players.

Yo how could you get the impression from my team that I hated the guy or don’t want him or any penguin to succeed?

Because it’s not in your best case scenario’s. Which is a huge one IMO. And moved him down to the 4th line, which he is not. If the Pens are gonna succeed. We need 1st off, Crosby, Malkin and letang to stay healthy. 2nd Jarry needs a repeat of last year and prove he is a #1. And 3rd we would need production from our 3rd line. And everything you read, from JR or Sully, or any reporter, it’s McCann/Jankowski/Rodrigues. And the 4th line will stay the same, they played well last year. Tanev/Blueger/ZAR(when he gets back from off-season surgery, until then it’s C.Sceviour). And unless someone young really steps up in training camp or we sign someone else. That looks like where we are at. And I like it. But we definitely need that 3rd line to produce. We can’t count on Crosby, Malkin line every night. Most nights, yes, but just like the HBK line, you need offensive production from 3 lines to be a championship team.
