A lot of questionable trades for sure but the current team looks better on paper imo. A lot of good acquisition even if the price wasn't right in some cases.

Agreed. and don't get me wrong, that 2018 series against washington could have went either way. the winner of that series for sure was winning the cup. I just think Wilson lived rent free in the Penguins heads compared to earlier in the season when Wilson stayed away from Reaves when he was on the Pens.

Rutherford has made either 56 or 57 trades as pens gm. He doesnt like to lose.

He’s a total gunslinger as GM. I know some people don’t like it but I love him as our GM, he somewhat embodies the penguins with that style. Live by the sword die by the sword, you know. It’s all or nothing with JR every year until the Crosby era comes to a close

this is 2018, these guys had different salaries. Guentzel was still on ELC, Murray was making 3.75, jarry was league min, etc

Yes, I understand. But Guentzel needed a raise, etc. You can’t keep this team around under a salary cap.
