Granlund. One year reprove himself deal. Can be flipped or resigned.

No reason to rush Rossi.

He's a fine and fairly paid player but nothing special. Minni would rather trade Rask but they'd have to pay to. So they give away a guy for free the way the Leafs did with Johnsson

We don't need to sign Granlund to not rush Rossi. Rossi will make the team or not on his own merits, not just because of the position he plays. Granlund isn't a center, and I have no idea why he'd come back here.

Some combination of Johansson, Bonino, Eriksson Ek, Bjugstad will play top 6 center roles if Rossi doesn't make the team.

Granlund is more of a c than Johansson.

Bjugstad is a borderline 3rd/4th liner.

Bonino is a good 3rd line c. Ek is up and coming so hopefully can be something.

Your team is really oddly built being good and very deep on wings. Then having a tonne of lower end depth at c but essentially no NHL proven top 6 c. It's just so weird to me

Why not? You guys desperatly need a one c. A team that plays Eriksson Ek or Johanson top line Centre is going to place out of the playoffs, easily.

Granlund is not more of a center than Johansson. Have you ever watched Granlund? He's a winger, 100%. Johansson probably is too, so at best it's a wash.

I know! Apart from having the worst top 6 centres in the league, the wild are actually a pretty good team.

There are still literally actual centers available in free agency, so I have no clue why Granlund was the one chosen to fill that role in this thread.

Got it, you've never actually watched him play, you just look at the stat sheet.

Granlund hasn't played center since 2015-16.

I've watched both and I can accept it's a wash. But Granlund has played more NHL time at c than Johansson. He was tried at it a bit as a rookie and sophomore.

Granlund did play a few years at c. Though not regularly for 4 years now.

But yeah if you don't think Granlund is than Johansson certainly isn't. And bjugstad is terrible.

So you're left with a good 3 c and Ek

Because no one besides Haula and Granlund (ironically both former wild) have any business in a top 6 c position.

Granlund has no business in a top 6 C position. He may be a better hockey player than Bonino and Eriksson Ek (actually remains to be seen, he's been brutal for a year and a half now), but Bonino and Ek are much better centers.

I checked daily faceoff last year, and it showed Granlund as Nashville's 2nd centre most of the season.

You need to find better sources for information then. He's been a winger since 2016.

Daily faceoff is the most accurate lineup website that exists. Please tell me what better one you have, and show my where it says Grunland is a winger, not a centre.

I don't have that. What I do have, however, is I actually watched the games.

I don't know though, you'll have to tell me how that kind of knowledge compares to your website.

I watch some games, just not wild or preds ones. It's not like I have the time to watch every single game that happens. So fine, I'll just take your word for it. I could care less if the Wild had Frederick Gauthier as their 1c. I just though Granlund was a c. That's all.

I may be able to help you out. Granlund is a center. This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. The Preds are my second favourite team in the whole NHL. I should know. He played the center position for Nashville this year. They were swapping him and Johansen. He can play center, so the wild would benefit of giving him another chance in the middle.
