As a Bruins fan - I would not be mad. He deserves to play for a legit team. He will also make your team a whole lot slower. Marner and Hyman would be offsides more than imagine. They would be flying over the blue line while Chara spins around behind the net.

Love Chara - He doesn't fit the style of play Bruins play anymore, he certainly wouldn't fit the Leafs style.

There isn't a d-man on TOR that can carry Chara like McAvoy has the last two years. Don't believe me, go look at Chara's 5v5 numbers with and away from McAvoy. Chara's number are worse away from McAvoy, while McAvoy's numbers get immensely better away from Chara. The value of Chara in Toronto is actually having him in the locker room and being a bonafide leader Toronto needs.
