Description
I mean, Colorado should win the cup this year. I mean they have until Nathjan McKinnon re ups but really this is their year based on contracts. They should have organized a sign and trade with Buffalo with Hall, you sign him and pay half and we give you two firsts, or a first and Byram, whatever. No better time than now. Heck they still have 6M for their 4th line wingers... flexibility.

You don't trade a potential top-4 D that is young and inexpensive and TWO first-round picks for one year of Taylor Hall; that is terrible asset management no matter how you look at it. Matt Calvert is pretty valuable as a bottom-6 guy and PK'er and Bura on the third line is also wasteful. Hall is a good player but this is just overzealous to the point of madness.

Dangerous to assume you've already won the cup. Vegas is a major threat in the west alone

I am realizing now that I meant to do one 1st. The reason I give up Byram is because you should be able to sign Hall to an extension, even if it is only until Mackinnon's current bargain deal is up AND more importantly COL's LD is solid. Byram may be amazing but ... Stanley Cup.

They'll just trade Graves or Toews and ride out Byram's ELC for three years.

Hall isn't worth trading a first or Byram.
