First, Ottawa is unl8kely to want Ryan,. Second, they are not going to do that just for a 3rd. They will extract Ryan and a 2nd and give us sh*t. They know when to take advantage.

If there is no core altering trade coming this offseason, I think keeping Ryan would be more beneficial to the team then signing Hamonic would be. Ryan is one of the few right shots on the team and he brings centre depth that allows the te team to run 4 solid forwards if they want to and also allows them to move players up and down the lineup. Also with kylington, Mackey and Nesterov the flames have plenty of options to fill the 6th dman spot

This roster is exactly why we cannot move Lindholm to center. We only have 5 top 6 forwards, moving one of those to the 3rd line forces a 3rd liner onto both the first and third lines and makes our RW absolutely barren.
