Manson and Eriksson would both be expiring contracts. I can do two seconds and a prospect if you want but I don't think the value is that far off

If you included a higher prospect like Podkolzin then maybe. The last thing we need right now is less RHD and more 4th line players with a huge cap

Podkolzin is a non-starter. I mean the deal isn't that far off the Backes trade, you're just taking on a cap dump for one year instead of two which is why the prospect isn't as good. I guess the trade really comes down to how confident you are on Manson re-signing. If he's not gonna sign, you might as well trade him regardless of how weak your right side is.

I think the Canucks would have to include a RHD Prospect in the Manson trade. Maybe Chatfield or Rafferty going the other way as the prospect? I mean Manson takes that spot anyway.

Its going to take the 1st rounder to move Erikssons contract if you want Manson coming back you’ll need to add a blue chip prospect and at least a second rounder, Eriksson has negative value while Manson has a ton of value

Pipe dream thinking your getting Landeskog he’ll be a avalanche for life

I don’t see anyone being interested in Beagle or Roussel at a 3mil cap hit expensive for 4th liners

Stop trading VAN draft picks tough it out

People should stop treating draft picks like gold .They are ALWAYS a gamble. Most draft picks NEVER play in the NHL. 20 % of 1st round picks, 55% of 2nd round picks and 70% of 3rd rounders don't make it. More than 90% of 4th round or later picks don't make it. One only has to look at Vegas to see that a team can built without picks. It is almost always worthwhile to trade an unknown for a known quantity. Most prospects have only a slightly higher value than a pick.
FEAR OF MISSING OUT CAN NOT ALWAYS BE A BUSINESS STRATEGY.
Cap space is more valuable than picks for the Canucks right now. If Vancouver makes a trade to clear cap space and if that includes a pick, so be it.
