Preds decline. There are still UFAs they could sign or comparable players they could trade for, without giving up Tolvanen. NSH doesn't seem likely to make another move though.

Oilers pass.

yeah not a good trade for Oilers, just cuz the pens trade their prospects and First round pick every year doesn't mean that they can just clean out other teams prospect pools

Wow you should definitely get more from TB, Montreal and Nashville.

I’d want Puljujarvi from Edmonton too. Puljujarvi and Ethan Bear or Puljujarvi and Caleb Jones. Holloway is a shot in the dark right now. And with Letang we should Retain 2.25M so it’s Letang for 5M/year and a 2nd round pick.

From Montreal we need to get more. I’d say, Romonov and Juulen and forget about getting the 2nd round pick. For Dumoulin, who is only making 4M/yr for the next 3 years and just turned 29.

And from Nashville we need to get more too. I’d say something like Luke Kunin and E.Tolvanon.

And TB with us retaining 50% and Malkin making under 5M a year then, should be giving up a lot more..lol. Like Cirelli and Sergachev rights. And probably a 1st round pick(which would be a late 1st rounder from TB).

Hard to pass..lol. Malkin making under 5M a year.. a top 20 player in the NHL for a top 4 LHD. Lol. Hard to pass, u think?? Haha, JK.

But that trade is just crazy. It would be atleast Cirelli and Sergachev rights for Malkin and retaining 50%. Probably a 1st round pick too. Which is obviously gonna be a late one. With Malkin too on TB. Probably gonna be the last pick. That offer would be hard to pass up. You’d get Malkin for 4.75Myear and only have to sign Cernak now. Ya, I think TB couldn’t say no to that either

This isnt happening either way man..I’m not gonna argue I about it..lol..but Puljujarvi wants traded and shine has worn off as a prospect. And Puljujarvi and Caleb Jones for Letang at 5M/year(retaining 2.25M) and a 2nd round pick is light. Letand scored 15 goals and 44 points in 61 games last year. And 16 goals and 56 points in 66 games in 18-19. He’s still a top 5 D in NHL at running the point on the PP. and a good 2-way RHD too. Plus, a 2nd round pick.

And sure Montreal would. Dumoulin is a top paring D. Romonov isn’t anything special offensively. He’s a defensive D. Will be on their 3rd paring this year. The Pens wouldn’t even do just Romonov for Dumoulin. A SC winner, a proven top-pairing D, with play-off experience. Only 29, just signed till 32 for 3 more years at only 4.1M/year. Ya, I’d say he’s more valuable than just Romanov.

Given what NSH gave up to acquire Kunin, they seem to be pretty high on him. Kunin for Zucker probably gets quickly declined by NSH. As I mentioned previously in this thread, Tolvanen wouldn't be made available for Zucker either. If the Preds are still shopping (doesn't seem like they are though), they could find better deals than this. Killorn would be an example of a player roughly equal in value to Zucker. Given TBL's cap problem, and that they weren't able to give Johnson away on waivers, I'm sure they'd accept an offer far below what you're asking for Zucker here. It's a buyer's market right now.

Zucker is younger than Killorn and T.Johnson. And Killorn never scored 65 points in a season. And Zucker played on a bad team and every team and GM in the league is high on Zucker cause they believe Minneaota misused him. Had 11 points in 14 games w/ the Pens last year. We’ll see after this year if you still think Zucker and Killorn are equivalent players. Killorn and Tyler Johnson played their whole careers on a good team(TB) and a really good offensive team. And like I said, Minnesota might have had 1-2 play-off appearances in Zuckers 5.5 seasons with them. And probably 1st round exits.

I do agree it would be hard to get that return at this time and during this flat cap year. It already being late in feee agency, teams have already spent all their money, the draft is over, most teams rosters are complete. At the trade deadline could be a different story though; It would be for Tyler Johnson.
