Neither of them are cap dumps! No, it’s not a fair deal. Killorn could fetch a 1st had there not been a flat cap and TB being desperate; even so, I expect he’ll still fetch a 2nd. Palat is a little over paid, but his postseason performance skyrocketed his value, and he only has Two years left so it’s not such a crutch, he should also fetch a 2nd. The problem TB has, is that these guys don’t want to leave TB so there is a limited amount of places they would consider waiving for and those teams may not have the cap available.

I agree they both aren't cap dumb. They both are quality middle-six forwards, who would be top 6 in DET right now. But the thing is, TB has no bargaining power here. Assuming they movetheir NTC, TB has to give them to the higgest bidder, and there are not a lot of teams who can bid. In a normal world, yes they could both fetch a 2nd. But as we all know, this world is not normal anymore 😅.

Still not going to give up a 1st to get ride of them, or even a 2,3,4,.... if TB really gets desperate, they can drop them on waivers like they did TJ and any team can grab them without having to waive their NTCs; there are plenty of teams who will do that. Now if TB wants to get ride of TJ, there they may have to cushion it with a first. Also, your lines are way out of whack, did you intend to make them like that? Move Name to 2C, Ryan to 2/3rd line wing, Zadina 1/2 line wing, Hronek to 1st line, Cholo to 3rd or scratch, Nemeth 2nd LD, drop Neilsen and Filp to scratch or Buyout

The highest bidder for Palat and Killorn will be a helluva lot higher than an aging cap dump+3rd+AHLer, even before the negative 1st+2nd
