That’s not going to be enough for Huberdeau. Tatar will walk and then they’re left with Romanov and Lehkonen for their franchise points leader. You’re at least a 1st or more short

If Huberdeau is traded, then FLA is going for a rebuild. Tatar doesn't fit that and neither does Lehkonen really -- only Romanov, who they would probably love to have. It would likely be multiple picks + Romanov + another young prospect - I'm sure they'd love Kotkaniemi, but I doubt MTL would trade him. But some center prospects would probably be of interest to FLA. Maybe throw in a roster player like Armia as well and they can decide whether to sign him or trade him at the deadline.

TOP5 LW in the league is not moving for a pending UFA wing, mid to bottom-6 winger and a good D prospect. That offer falls short.

Like others above have said it's not enough for Florida but also Montreal is HUGE on Romanov and if he is part of the package I don't see the Habs doing it.

As the handful guys said value is off - I assume Tatar and Lehk. are in there just as much as for cap purposes as for value. So they kinda mean whatever to Florida unless you offered quality pieces which you have - just not enough. I’d think Caufield and a 2nd + or whatever would work if that was added. I doubt Poehling is a major trade piece anymore so I’d say if you make it him it would have to be a first +

Adding Tatar lehk Romanov Caufield Poehling 2nd/ first would get Florida to bite but that is a substantial offer

That ain't it. When was the last time you saw 2 top 5 prospects moved for a guy? It doesn't happen in today's NHL.

It would start with 1 of those guys plus a 1st rounder, but only 1 of those guys would be in the deal at all

None of them are even top 15 prospects? sure top 5 in MTL but in the league not close

How often do you see a guy like Huberdeau traded? never

FLA has less than no reason to even consider moving Huberdeau, MTL would need to blow them out of the water for them to consider it and one of Romanov/Suzuki/Caufield and a 1st doesnt blow anyone away

Also learn how to read. I said it would start with 1 of those guys and a 1st rounder. Didn't say 1 of them plus a 1st would blow Florida away. Panthers have a lot of incentive to move him actually. They're always looking to shed salary, they're not a competitive team, his value has never been higher than it is right now.. all good reasons to move him

But a A+ Prospect TOP 6 winger 60pts guy playing next to Barky for sure... and a Good MID two-way player 40pts in Lehky... should be enough.

Im sure the Cats would rather have Huberdeau than Hoffman. Huberdeau is already on a bargain of a contract for the next 3 seasons and he's better than Hoffman.

You mad bro? lol You dont shed salary by trading an Elite player on a great contract thats just flat out dumb to even suggest. They dont need to shed salary to stay under 75M with a full 23 man roster they shed salary by letting Dadonov and Hoffman walk

I don't even know why, if the Panthers were selling off Huberdeau, they'd want someone like Tatar involved in the deal anyway? To me, if they're moving Huberdeau, one of the most valuable pieces in the deal isn't someone like Tatar. He's very good, but it doesn't make any sense to downgrade it's something like Young NHL player+Caufield+1st as a starting point.

Not saying Armia is the deal breaker...that was just a suggestion. MTL would likely have to throw in a roster player in any Huberdeau deal and he would be one that I think they'd have interest in.

So when has Lehkonen ever gotten 40 points? or even gotten close to that? Never...

A 30 year old UFA in Tatar, a 30-point bottom 6 forward, and Romanov isn't enough - even when you add a 1st - for a top 5 LW in the NHL that has 239 points in his last 233 games.

I realize now that this must be a troll post. Good one.

With the clean up that Florida have started I think they are willing to trade a good asset for multiple fix option.
They did a big mistakes when they trade Trochek away and destroy their LD

I mean, I guess when I think A+ prospect, I think of guys like Lafreniere, or Hughes, or someone along those lines. A+ prospects are the top tier. Heck, I'm a Ducks fan who's very aware that Trevor Zegras is rated higher than both of those prospects that you listed, and I wouldn't even say that he's an A+ prospect.

The Panthers have zero reason to move Huberdeau without being blown away by a trade offer, and that ain't it. If Huberdeau was made available, there's a ton of teams that would offer more than you have.

Couldn't care less about your opinion actually kid. Lol.
Teams just don't trade top 5 prospects. & saying teams don't move elite talent to shed salary is false. Kessel got traded from Toronto to clear cap. Chicago dealt guys to clear cap after they won the cup. So you clearly don't know what you're talking about . Lol.

Hello friend, welcome to Earth, a planet that doesn't revolve around one singular team, where you aren't limited to only receiving offers from one team. It's pretty simple-Why would a team sell off a star player if they weren't selling? (They wouldn't). If they were selling, why would a team trade their star player for a pending UFA, a good prospect, and a bottom 6 forward?

There are a ton of teams that would blow this offer out of the water if Huberdeau was put on the block.
