I don't think any of these trades get accepted, but I'll let other fans speak for their teams. OTT for sure declines.

To take on 6 million over the next 3 years is going to cost more, sorry but with revenues down teams are not likely to add players who do not fit into their team or plan. Okposo is not a 6 million dollar player and Wings are rebuilding so he takes up a large chunk of cap, can not play, and will take a spot in the lineup of a younger player.

If it took a 1st for Marleau or Backes for one year and Yzerman took on Staal for 1 year at 5 million why do you think Okposo can be shed for a 1st and a 3rd when his deal.is 3 times longer.

Stevie has also said he wants to be flexible, this deal hampers that this year and for the next two years after. Just makes zero sense from a Wings perspective.

Once again, no UFA will ever sign with you if you turn around and trade them weeks later like you did with girgensons.

The trade doesn't make sense for Detroit and Okposo is overpaid big times but he can still play.

After he was destroyed by injuries he has reinvented himself as a very good defensive player and in that role isn't asked to score and has been saddled with high defensive zone starts etc.

At even 3 million buffalo is thrilled with him, 6 obviously too much for his current role/production

Nope Detroit decline big time, Okposo has to much term and money. Yzerman what's shorter deals like one year no more then 2 years. Okposo is making 3 x $6,000,000 so it would probably cost you at least Buffalo's 2021 1st round pick+Buffalo's 2021 2nd round pick+Buffalo's 2022 2nd round pick would be extremely expensive would just be better off burying him in the minors.

Okposo for first + 2nd + one of Samuelson or Ryan johnson is closer to the deal

Hard to think of any team that'd decline Girgensons @ 2M exchanged for just a mid round pick downgrade unless they literally couldn't afford him.

Let alone one eagerly try to get back to relevancy

This site dismisses underwhelming assets too quickly

In 14-15 Girgensons reached 30 points. Since then he hasn't cracked 20 points in a season. And he's signed for 3 more seasons at $2.2M, which means he'll be in our bottom 6 until 2023, blocking guys like Formenton, Chlapik and Abramov from become regulars, and guys like Grieg, Jarventie and Sokolov from even getting a call up. So please, let's not pretend OTT would CRAAAAZY to not jump on this trade.

Yeah good luck with that. I do agree but the problem is it's very rational and a lot of CapFriendly users are incapable of rational thought.

I'd really really like to get one of those guys but I think at that price Buffalo keeps him.
