Description
All fitz trades

Out of the 6 trades, the Devils went 4-1-1.
Transactions
1.
NJD
  1. Anderson, Joey [Droits de RFA]
TOR
  1. Johnsson, Andreas
Détails additionnels:
Devils take advantage of cap struggling Leafs and take Johnsson who could be a top 6 winger next season for very cheap.

Devils win
2.
NJD
  1. Choix de 5e ronde en 2021 (NJD)
CBJ
  1. Murray, Ryan
Détails additionnels:
Devils acquire a solid top 4 defenseman in Murray for very cheap. Low-risk move for the Devils and they only had to give up a 5th.

Devils win
3.
NJD
    Vatanen
    CBJ
    1. Kuokkanen, Janne
    Détails additionnels:
    Nico Daws (G)
    Frederick Claesson

Devils ship Vatanen to Carolina for a decent package. I think the Devils could have gotten more for Vatanen but this this trade wasn't bad.

    Equal
    4.
    NJD
      Wayne Simmons
      BUF
      1. Choix de 5e ronde en 2021 (BUF)
      Détails additionnels:
The Devils probably could have gotten more for Simmons and this whole signing was a fail.

      Devils lose
      5.
      TBL
      1. Foote, Nolan
      Détails additionnels:
      Shakir Mukhamadullin

The Devils fleeced the Lightning by basically getting 2 firsts for Coleman. The Lightning did manage to win the Cup (congrats) but in the long run, the Devils ran away with this trade.

      Devils win
      6.
      NJD
        Andy Green
        NYI
        1. Quenneville, David
        2. Choix de 2e ronde en 2021 (NYI)
        Détails additionnels:
Devils stole a second round pick from the Islanders fro Greene. Greene isn't bad by any means but a 2nd round pick is alot of a aging stay at home defenseman.

I would more think you won the Tampa trade if they didn't take Shakir, who sucks hard besides getting secondary assists. I dont think Tampa minds losing the trade though

The Vatanen was a lost, if the Greene rental cost was a 2nd Rd pick than Vatanen should have been also a 2nd Rd pick.

Tbay won the trade. Cup win plus the much needed cap space.

Simmonds was worse than a loss, it was an franchise embarrassment, which might cost them the ability to sign future UFA's.

Devils have yet to win the toronto trade and heres why

Toronto gets a younger player who is projected to become a similar player to Blake Coleman. With the marlies development staff that is a realistic outcome for him and is just what we need.

Plus cap space which is great for us

Devils get a older wing who is good but realistically dont see him getting 20 goals again.

so devils really didnt win lul

Sami was hurt. That was the best they were going to do.

Agreed but its too early to tell. Shakir is a risky pick but could turn out either way.

I don't think Anderson would turn out as good as Coleman. The Leafs did free up cap space by making this move by Im just saying the Devils got more value by acquiring Johnsson. Its too early to tell but right now I think the Devils won.

Trades are the economy of the NHL. Economy isn't a zero-sum game. Both Tampa and NJD could have won that Coleman-trade.

Say what you want about greene for a 2nd, but I'd do that again in a heartbeat. At first I didn't like it, but after seeing how well he played it was needed. ESPECIALLY considering, at the time, Pelech wasn't expected to be in for playoffs.

Honestly don't think isles make it to ECF without him.
