Marleau, Thornton, Parise, Hossa, Zetterberg, Spezza, Weber, Burns, Suter, Lundqvist are all candidates at some point imo. Marleau only if he breaks Howe's record this year.

Marleau has a better chance than Parise, Spezza and you left of Keith, I believe his Cup rings have more value which places him ahead of Weber, Burns and Suter.

Marleau will be a first ballot HOF'er....do you not see his nearly 600 goals scored or his 1'200 points ?

Probably but Burns and Weber are certainly strong candidates.

Parise and Suter are locks of the USHOF along with Pavelski

Gabby is a borderline HOF'er....just like Ziggy Palfy, Gabby = 400+ goals and 800+ points and a Cup ring.

O CAPTAIN MY GUTLESS.

1st ballot HOFer. Just look at his playoff numbers too in addition to all that. My favorite player of all time in sports.

82 more NHL games combined (regular and playoffs) to reach 2'000 games played....I hope he gets traded to the Av's to reunite with Kadri and gets another Cup run.

The game is close to being over and none of the lines have even crossed center ice yet

I ok with Patty going to the Avs, only after he breaks Howe's record in teal. But if SJ is a playoff team then we keep Patty.

Zetterburg should have not been so cheap and played the 18'19 season, yes that was the season which started his paycut (from $7 mill to $3.5 mill) but he only needed 40 points to get to the 1'000 milestone, he isn't a 1st ballot HOF'er without claiming 1'000 points.

If Duby plays like he did a couple years ago and a couple teams have covid19 issues, the SJS could be a bubble team.

I don't think it would be far-fetched for them to be a playoff team. I think they will surprise a fair amount of people.

Parise, Spezza, Suter don’t make the HOF. I gotta look at Burns and Keith’s numbers but just my 1st thought would be Burns gets in B4 Keith. I’m gonna look into that right now though..lol.

Forgot Keith won a Conn Smythe. How did that happen with Kane and Towes..?? Ya, Keith is in b/c of that and the SC’s. But I think Burns gets in too now.

Burns had the highest scoring season for a dman the year before last in nearly 3 decades (Leetch in 1995) and didn't even get the Norris that year (he should have) For a big guy he is an excellent skater and has elite vision. His defensive game is super underrated on this site and often wrongly criticised negatively. That said Keith is a fantastic player and I think they both get in easily.

If I want offense, I go with Burns. If I want defense I go with Keith. Together they would make a formidable pairing even at this age.

Ya, for sure. That was my 1st thought. Was Keith was a top 5 defenseman for a number of years. But Burns was a top 5 defenseman and top 5 scoring defensemen for a number of years. But Keith’s hardware puts him over for sure ( 3SC’s, a Conn Smythe, and a Norris Trophy).
