Philly has a couple of extra million in this scenario to give Pulock the deal he has earned, and is the type of player who would thrive on the top pairing for a long time. It is also important to note that Philly is stupid deep on the left side but bone dry on the right side, so this gives them more depth on that side.

The Islanders negate some of their immediate cap troubles while still getting a very solid young defenseman back in the trade.

I feel like Laughton in Edmonton is a good fit. He gives them more grit to their game and could even slot in on one of the top 2 lines with some needed speed and skill (I think he is better than Kassian and Chiasson)
